As an artist and lover of typography, I am always inspired by beautifully crafted vintage signs. In New York City there are so many of these signs in shops and even subway stations where you will find walls adorned with elaborate, decorative tile work. In this video tutorial I will be showing you how to recreate this classic style to make a subway sign of your own using mostly Photoshop and a bit of Illustrator. We will be using various filters, layer styles, and effects to achieve the desired result along with a custom set of vector borders and patterns that I’ve created so that you can follow along.
