In this tutorial I will be showing you how to create a furry text effect in Photoshop. This technique can be useful for creating interesting display titles or headlines, and can be used with any kind of furry texture that you like. We will be using some handy shortcuts involving both the Pen and Brush Tools to get the look we want, and also incorporating a few Adjustment Layers to change things like the contrast and color in a non-destructive way.
I don’t know about you, but I am extremely thankful for the undo feature in Photoshop. While this has saved me plenty of times, there are limitations to the step backwards and undo features that prevent you from going back too far. This is where the History Panel and Snapshots come in handy! Never used these features before? No problem. In this tutorial I will show you how to save yourself some major headaches by getting familiar with an extremely useful and underutilized tool in Adobe Photoshop.
