Have you ever had a client who asked you to do work for very cheap, or free? Have you ever had a client who didn’t want to pay you up front at all? Maybe they decided to cancel a project after you’ve already put in hours of time laboring over your best design work? These are just some of the problems that you may run into as a freelance designer, but in this lesson I will be giving you guys some tips on how to avoid some of these common pitfalls and negotiate with your clients to nurture and foster the relationship, ultimately helping you to protect yourself and your work.
In this lesson we will be discussing the pro’s and con’s of using Photoshop verses Illustrator for logo design. While Photoshop and Illustrator are both great programs for creating images, they each have strengths and weaknesses that should be addressed, particularly when it comes to something as important as designing a logo for a brand, a graphic for a t-shirt, or any other type of scalable art that needs to be resized for various mediums.
In it’s simplest form, Graphic Design is about visual communication. It’s how we share and disseminate information through the use of image and type. In this video I will explain what you need to know about becoming a Graphic Designer and how you can make a living from it.
